Southern Area's Busy Season Is In Full Swing
So far this year our Southern Area have organised no less than severn outings. Reports of some of these outings have already been noted on this news section but in June the area went on their annual June Jaunt which this year was well organised by Jeff and Jenny Poplar. The tour took us through the beautiful West Hampshire and South Oxfordshire countryside with stops in Hungerford for coffee and a farm centre at Frilford for lunch.
We were most pleased to welcome Tony and Beverley Sullivan, club members from Manchester who were on holiday in the area. Shady country lanes, charming villages and good company combined to ensure a most pleasant day
The Southern Day July picnic was held in Ann and Andy's garden this year and we were pleased to welcome Tony Carter ex President of the ASCC and his wife Tina who were touring Europe. We all enjoyed an excellent barbeque and the opportunity to foster Anglo-Australian Armstrong Siddeley relations.
In addition to these outings the Southern Area hold regular monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month and members from other areas are always very welcome. The location is at the Fairmile in Cobbam KT11 1BW. We look forward to welcoming you there!
